Who we are
SketchTiles is operated by Boaz Oded and Raanan Zemer, trading as SketchTiles, Israel. We are responsible for the personal information described in this policy. Contact us at info@sketchtiles.com about your information or this policy.
Information we collect
Orders. When you shop with us, we collect your name, email, delivery and billing details, products ordered and transaction records. Payment services such as PayPlus and PayPal handle payment information and provide records needed to confirm payments, refunds and invoices.
Messages and reviews. We receive the contact details, messages, images or PDFs you send us. Reviews include a rating, display name, email, text and any photos. A published review can display your chosen name, rating, text and photos.
Gifts and email requests. If a buyer chooses direct gift-card delivery, they provide the recipient’s name, email and personal message. We receive your email and the relevant request when you subscribe or ask for a stock alert.
Review requests. About two weeks after an order we may email you once to ask for a review. We keep a record of your email address, the products and the order so we do not ask twice, and a list of people who asked us to stop.
Website visits. Website services can collect IP addresses, browser and device information, pages visited, referral information and interactions such as clicks and scrolling.
You choose whether to provide information. Without the details needed for an order or enquiry, we may be unable to fulfil it or respond. Optional attachments, reviews and marketing choices are separate from buying a product.
How we use information
We use information to fulfil orders, arrange delivery, issue gift cards, answer questions, handle returns, publish submitted reviews, provide requested alerts and ask buyers for a review after an order. We also keep business records, investigate errors or misuse and improve the shopping experience.
Where the law requires a legal basis, we rely on:
- Our contract with the buyer to process their order, payment and delivery.
- Legal obligations to keep required accounting and transaction records.
- Legitimate interests in answering enquiries, securing the store, resolving claims, paying partner commissions and delivering a gift requested by its buyer. Gift-recipient details come from the buyer.
- Consent for optional analytics cookies, Microsoft Clarity, Meta advertising tools and ManyChat measurement, and to publish a submitted review and its photos.
Who receives information
We use providers for hosting, store operations, payments, delivery, communications, analytics and advertising. These include Cloudflare, which also stores what you send through our forms, Resend, which sends our emails, Wix, PayPlus, PayPal, EasyGoShip and delivery carriers, plus the analytics and advertising services below. They receive information relevant to their roles, such as a delivery address for shipping.
Some providers also process information for their own purposes under their privacy policies. We may disclose relevant records when required by law or necessary to handle legal claims.
Cookies, storage & analytics
Browser storage supports features such as remembering your cart. The drawing study keeps progress in session storage.
Google Analytics helps us understand visits and shopping activity. Microsoft Clarity provides interaction metrics, heatmaps and session replays to understand navigation and identify difficulties. Meta advertising tools help measure campaigns and support advertising. These tools can use cookies, identifiers and related technologies.
If you visit through a ManyChat message link and allow both Analytics and Marketing, we share referral information, visits, product views and when you add items to your cart with ManyChat to measure shopping activity from our messages.
Clarity shares usage information with Microsoft. Microsoft may also use collected information for its own purposes, including improving its services and creating profiles for advertising. See the Microsoft Privacy Statement.
Google Analytics sends limited measurement signals without analytics cookies before you choose and when Analytics is off. Allowing Analytics enables Google Analytics cookies and Microsoft Clarity. Marketing controls Meta Pixel separately. We have turned off advertising storage and ad personalisation in Google Analytics on this store.
Purchases in Analytics. When Analytics is on and you pay, our server also sends the purchase to Google Analytics: the order value, shipping, currency, products, any coupon or gift credit used, an event reference, your Analytics visitor and session IDs, and where the visit came from. It never includes your name, email or address. Nothing about the purchase is sent when Analytics is off, and turning Analytics off before it is sent stops it.
Partner links. If you arrive through a partner link, we keep that partner’s code in one cookie for 7 days, so the partner can earn a commission if you order. The cookie holds only the code and the time you arrived. When you start a payment, the code is saved with your order and stays with it; a code saved for a payment you never finish is deleted after 30 days. We share nothing about you with anyone before a sale, and a partner learns that a sale happened and its value, not who bought. We keep this cookie whatever you choose in Cookie settings, because the partner programme depends on it. You can delete it in your browser at any time.
Use Cookie settings here or in the footer to change your choices. Your choices are saved on this device for up to 180 days. Withdrawing Analytics permission stops the use of analytics cookies and Microsoft Clarity; limited Google Analytics measurement without analytics cookies continues. Withdrawing Marketing permission stops Meta Pixel. Turn off either Analytics or Marketing in Cookie settings to disable ManyChat measurement on this storefront. Changing your choices does not erase information already sent. You can also manage cookies and stored website data through your browser; blocking storage may affect features such as the cart.
Marketing choices
You can unsubscribe from marketing emails using their unsubscribe link or by contacting us. This does not stop necessary communications about an order or a request you made. Providing a gift recipient’s email is for delivering the gift and does not subscribe them to marketing.
Retention & security
We retain information according to its purpose, including order fulfilment, support, accounting obligations, consent records and resolving disputes. Retention also depends on the services involved and applicable legal requirements. Closing a request does not necessarily mean every related record is immediately erased.
What you send us through the website forms is kept for these periods:
- Contact messages and their attachments: 12 months.
- Reviews: a published review stays while it is on the site. A review waiting for our decision is kept until we decide. A rejected review and its photos are deleted 12 months after we decide.
- Stock alert requests: deleted once we send the email, or after 12 months if we never do.
- Newsletter signups: kept until you unsubscribe. We then keep a record of your signup and unsubscribe so we do not email you again. A signup you never confirm is deleted 7 days after its link expires.
- Review requests: 12 months. We keep the list of people who asked us to stop so we do not ask them again.
Messages, signups, stock requests and reviews also reach our team inbox by email. Those emails stay there until we delete them.
To stop abuse, our forms also keep a short-lived record of recent requests, tied to your IP address and email address. It is deleted within two days.
We use safeguards intended to protect information, but no online service or storage system can guarantee complete security.
International processing
Our providers may process information outside your country, where privacy laws may differ. The safeguards that apply depend on the provider, destination and applicable law. You can contact us for information about relevant transfers.
Your rights
You can ask to access your information and correct inaccurate or incomplete details. Depending on applicable law, you may also have rights to deletion, restriction of processing, a portable copy of your data or a complaint to a privacy regulator.
Withdraw consent. You may withdraw consent at any time by contacting us. Withdrawal does not affect earlier lawful processing.
Object to processing. You may object to direct marketing at any time. Where processing relies on legitimate interests, applicable law may also let you object because of your particular circumstances.
Email info@sketchtiles.com to make a request. We may need to verify your identity, and some records must be retained to meet legal obligations.
Children
The store is intended for adults making purchases. Parents, guardians and educators should handle enquiries or purchases for children. If you believe a child has provided personal information that we should not hold, contact us.
Pinterest integration
Our internal Pinterest account-management tool manages our own pins, boards and profile. Pin content and performance information are saved for account maintenance and review. This integration is separate from the shopping and contact information described above.
Changes & contact
We may update this policy as the store changes. Send questions or privacy requests to info@sketchtiles.com.
